It's the second time Gould has been elevated from the practice squad -- teams can promote a player three times during the season before being required to add him to the 53-man roster -- as he returned four kicks for an average of 25.5 yards against the Chiefs last week. He's returned 36 kicks for a 26.5-yard average in his three seasons with the Colts.
Westbrook-Ikhine, a former Indiana University player, could be used as a deep threat with Pierce out. Westbrook-Ikhine was signed in the offseason but release and added to the practice squad after training camp. He averaged 13.6 yards on 137 catches in his six-year career with the Titans and Dolphins.
