Boston's 10th round draft selection spent the last few months with the Florida Complex League Red Sox, focusing on his development. LaFavor tells KCAU 9 he's added 20 pounds this summer.
The Heelan product says he's fortunate to truly live out his dream of being a professional baseball player, surrounded by those who helped him get there.
"It's something I've wanted to do my whole life, just baseball and being able to do that for four or five hours out of the day, get my work in with guys that want to do it, too," LaFavor said. It's really nice and everything like that. It's nice to be able to celebrate this with other people that I know."
