UND football's Wiltshire, Scott nearing eligibility court dates

Starting nickel Jonnie Wiltshire will have a preliminary injunction hearing on his eligibility lawsuit take place the first week of October, while cornerback Avery Scott will do the same on Thursday of this week, according to UND head coach Eric Schmidt.
Both UND defenders received temporary restraining order status from Grand Forks County District Court prior to the season, as both players are seeking a fifth season of eligibility from the NCAA.
Through UND's first four games, Wiltshire is fifth on the team in tackles with 15, while adding 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and three pass breakups.
Scott, a partial starter for the Hawks last season and one of the team's top backups this year, has six tackles and two pass breakups.
The Fighting Hawks, 3-1 and ranked No. 7 in Monday's Stats Perform FCS Top 25, start Missouri Valley Football Conference play at noon Saturday at Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind.
Schmidt also said UND All-American edge Lance Rucker, who has been out through the first four games of the year with a preseason foot injury, is closing in on a return.
"He came up here the other day, and he's like 'Hey, don't be surprised if I try to push for Murray State here," Schmidt said of UND's Oct. 3 opponent. "We'll see where he's at, but you guys might see him out starting to do some (individual work) and stuff like that this week out in practice. His recovery has been really good."
Schmidt also provided an update to a banged-up tight ends group, which faced Nebraska on Saturday without Hunter Kallstrom, Haydn Stay and Aidan Behymer.
"It's getting better," Schmidt said of Kallstrom. "I think Kallstrom will be out here yet, probably at least one more week. He's making really good strides just as far as being able to move his elbow.
"(Stay), we think we have an opportunity here yet. He did something similar to his other foot a year ago, and it took three weeks. He feels like he's ahead of schedule from where he was. We'll push him (Tuesday), then we'll see how he recovers Wednesday. Aidan Behymer is a little ways away yet."
UND's top receiving tight end through four games is Watson Hafer, who has three catches for 40 yards including an 18-yard grab against Nebraska, which set up UND's lone touchdown.
