Ohio State coach Ryan Day discusses win over Kent State on Saturday

It's hard to take a lot from a game as lopsided (59-3) as what we saw between Ohio State and Kent State on Saturday, but it was good to wash that sour taste out of the mouth from the collapse against Texas.

As he does every game, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day met with the media for his postgame press conference, and he was challenged with that same question. Day responded with what he was looking for from his guys and was more or less pleased, but you could also tell that he was reserving judgment until he could look at the tape.

The postgame press conference took on a more business-like tone than normal and wasn't as long as some of the others, but Day still responded to the play of Julian Sayin, acknowledged the record-setting performance from receiver Jeremiah Smith, touched on some of the younger guys' lack of playing time, and more. We've got all of his comments thanks to the WBNS 10TV YouTube channel.

Next up is a home conference contest against the Fighting Illini next Saturday. That game will again be at Noon ET, and we'll have plenty leading up to it, during, and after.
