Kyler Murray Fantasy Week 2 Start or Sit: Sit Him, Wait for Tampa

Murray’s season lasted three possessions before a big shot and a concussion ended his day, and Minnesota’s trip to Chicago arrives too soon. He sits 37th among quarterbacks in PFN’s Week 2 rankings, which is about right for a passer nobody expects to dress. I’m assuming he doesn’t suit up this week and targets next week in Tampa for a return.

Should You Start or Sit Kyler Murray in Week 2?

On Minnesota’s third possession of the season, Murray took a big shot and left with a concussion. Carson Wentz filled in admirably and got Justin Jefferson the ball at the rate we needed him to, but the complexion of this offense obviously changes with the shift to QB2.

I’m assuming that Murray doesn’t suit up this week and targets next week (at the Buccaneers) for a return.

That’ll be an interesting game against a pass funnel, but we can address that when the time comes. For now, I think Minnesota installs a more conservative game plan in an effort to keep Caleb Williams on the sidelines, and that could mean a lot of Aaron Jones.

Wentz has proven that he’s not really worth our time, and as long as he continues to feed the beast that is WR1, I don’t think you have to change much when it comes to your rankings of the Vikings’ skill guys.
