Brissett has quietly been one of the better values in fantasy since Week 13 of last season, and he gave us usable production again in Los Angeles last week. PFN’s Week 2 rankings have him 26th among quarterbacks with Seattle visiting on an extended week. Respect for what has been done, but I’m happy to fade it against the defending champs.

Should You Start or Sit Jacoby Brissett in Week 2?
I still think this is more of a smoke-and-mirrors situation than anything, but there is no denying that he’s been great (for our purposes) for an extended stretch now.
Since Week 13 of last season, he’s averaging a tick below 17 fantasy points per game, a mark that puts him above Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, and Dak Prescott. He didn’t even need the goofy game script to give us usable production last week in Los Angeles (his 40 opportunities per game over that run rank third-most at the position).

I’m happy to fade it against the defending champs on an extended week.
Last season, Brissett scored 34.3% fewer fantasy PPG at home than on the road (he was better than MVP Matthew Stafford in road games but worse than Cam Ward at home). I don’t really need a cute number to fade him against a defense that has proven itself as elite, but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

We saw the Seahawks put the clamps on Drake Maye in the first three quarters of the Super Bowl and again in the second half last week (5.3 yards per pass with zero touchdowns and three interceptions). Maye is better than Brissett, and I think this Seattle team is built to salt away wins, so if you’re banking on garbage time, I think you’re playing with fire in anything but two-QB and Superflex formats.
