Doyle is in his first year with the Ravens, and he has a big supporter in quarterback Lamar Jackson, who gave him a shoutout when asked about their victory over the Indianapolis Colts, 41-23, in Week 1. The two-time MVP credited Doyle’s play-calling and urged him to “keep it going.”

It appears the 30-year-old tactician’s philosophy has already made an impact.
“My mindset is when you are calling the game, or you are involved is to try to eliminate any emotion. You are trying to eliminate anything that would cloud your judgment or what’s going to happen next,” said Doyle in a media conference.
“As soon as we score, you immediately flip to (putting) foot on the gas. Everybody on the staff. We got to get our guys back right now. Don’t stop. You gotta keep going, and you don’t smile until it (game clock) hits zeroes, and then celebrate it real quickly, and then you got to get on to the next team fast.”

Last season, Doyle was with the Chicago Bears, and it sounds like he may have picked up a thing or two from coach Ben Johnson.
He has admitted that he is trying to emulate how Johnson ensures everyone lives up to a certain standard. For him, being level-headed will help him achieve that with the Ravens.
“That’s the way I think that you have to be. You’re never trying to fight like a two-front war. We’re fighting an opponent on the field. The more emotional I get, the more people have to deal with me, and all of our energy should be towards fighting the opponent,” added Doyle, who also had stints with the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos.
The Ravens will try to keep it going on Sunday against the Saints.
