Mercy Monarchs volleyball named Primetime 585 Spotlight Team of the Week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs volleyball team has been named the News 8 Primetime 585 Spotlight Team of the Week after picking up a pair of impressive wins.

The Monarchs defeated defending sectional champions Webster Schroeder and Pittsford Sutherland, sweeping both teams in three sets.
Freshman Olivia Laudisi helped lead Mercy against Webster Schroeder with 14 digs.
Against Pittsford Sutherland, Brooklyn Albritton recorded six kills, five aces and eight digs. AJ Jones added four kills, five aces and two blocks, while Vivian Cordello finished with two kills, two aces and 20 assists.
Mary Sloan also helped Mercy take control in the third set, serving for 10 consecutive points.
The Monarchs have received contributions throughout the lineup, including libero Elinor Meyer, middle hitter Rowan Meyers, Sydney Sadano, Leah Sperry and sophomore Kendall Schiffhauer.
