Gary Anderson
Anderson had originally qualified for the event, but chose to withdraw, which is something he's done before in recent years.
He hasn't made an appearance in the event since 2022, with his runner-up finish in 2017 as his career best finish in the tournament.
Luke Woodhouse
Woodhouse has had a respectable year so far, winning both a PC and ET event title.
He's currently 18th on the Main OoM and is eyeing a spot in the top-16.
He attempted to qualify through the WSoD TCH qualifier, but lost to Rob Owen in the last 32.

Martin Schindler
It's been a disappointing year for Martin Schindler, who recently just missed out on qualifying for the World Grand Prix (first time since 2021).
Schindler had an early exit in the TCH qualifier, losing in the last 64 to Madars Razma.
He's not defending a lot of money to finish the year, but you'd think he's expected more from himself after picking up ET and PC titles in the last two years.
Krzysztof Ratajski
Despite winning an ET event and making quarterfinal runs at the WC and UK Open in 2026, Ratajski finds himself missing out on the WSoD Finals for the first time in two years.
With it being an unranked event, it's not the end of the world, but it could be argued he's one of the best players who didn't qualify for this event.
In recent years, the World Series has gone to Poland, but this year it didn't, which likely hindered his chances of qualifying.
Ratajski lost in the last 32 to Owen Bates at the TCH qualifier.

Mike De Decker
It's been a rough couple of years for Mike De Decker since he won the World Grand Prix in 2024.
His sole WSoD Finals appearance was last year, when he made a run to the quarterfinals.
He's had very little success on the circuit this year, and is set to drop out of the top-32 soon, as he will defend none of his title money at the WGP.
De Decker was knocked out of the TCH qualifier in the round of 64 by Ryan Meikle a few weeks ago.
Ryan Joyce
Joyce's sole appearance at this event was in 2022 when he was a quarterfinalist.
He's made some semifinal runs at majors since then, but he hasn't been able to restart a streak of participating in the WSoD Finals.
Joyce was not present at the TCH qualifier in August.

Cameron Menzies
In recent months, we have seen Menzies in some of the best form of his career.
He has seemed to get over the mental hurdle of the game and is now showing what he's capable of when he can play freely.
Menzies was the winner of PC 23. He didn't go to the TCH qualifier in August.
