Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed 21 of 29 passes for 269 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers. He also rushed 10 times for 65 yards with two touchdowns.

Williams led the offense to 59 points, breaking a franchise record for points in a season opener. The previous record had been 45 points in 1948 in a game against the Green Bay Packers at Wrigley Field.
