New York City Police have identified the Palestinian flag-waving man who charged the Yankee Stadium field on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 Friday night,according to reports.

Kelly Marcucci, 38, of Long Island ran onto the left field grass precisely at 9:11 p.m. during the 7th inning of the Mets-Yankees game. He was wearing a “No Kings” shirt and waving a Palestinian flag and was promptly tackled by security before the crowd broke into chants of “USA, USA.”
He is facing misdemeanor charges for interference with a professional sporting event and trespassing, the Post reported.
Fans seated above the Mets bullpen threw beer on him after security moved him off the field and beyond the outfield fence.
Marcucci’s Facebook page on Friday included a rant referencing “late-stage capitalism,” “Trump,” “Joe Rogan,” and “Saudi Arabia,” among other things.
The Yankees won the game 6-4 in the first game of the Subway Series.
Prior to the game, Joe Torre, Tino Martinez, Scott Brosius, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter were announced to the Yankee Stadium crowd.
Aaron Judge Gerrit Cole, and Aaron Boone also laid a wreath at the 9/11 Monument in Monument Park honor of the 2,977 who lost their lives that day.
“Certainly understand the weight of today and certainly being the 25th anniversary,” Boone told reporters pre-game, “but having the two New York teams here playing, having lived through being a baseball player at the time, knowing the role that baseball played at the time, it feels like an honor to go out there tonight.
“I understand there will be a lot of different emotions in the building tonight with a lot of people with a lot of different contexts in and around that day, so we don’t take lightly walking out on that field.”
