PITSO MOSIMANE STARTS NEW BAFANA BAFANA CHAPTER
Pitso Mosimane will immediately face a demanding schedule with South Africa.
After the Guinea clash, South Africa will travel to Cairo to face Eritrea at the Al-Salam Stadium on Wednesday, 30 September.
The national team will then remain in Egypt for an international friendly against the hosts on 4 October.
That match will be played at the Cairo International Stadium. SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan has called on supporters to rally behind the team.
“We encourage families and fans to come in their numbers to support the team as we begin this new era under coach Pitso Mosimane.”
More announcements are expected before the Guinea encounter. Mosimane announced his preliminary squad for the two AFCON qualifiers last week.
The final squad will be revealed to the nation in the coming days.
BAFANA BAFANA TICKETS ON SALE
Fans can already secure their seats for South Africa vs Guinea. Tickets are priced at R100 for adults, while children under 12 can attend for R40.
There is an important condition for parents. A child’s ticket cannot be purchased separately. Supporters must select at least one adult ticket before adding a child’s ticket.

BOOK SOUTH AFRICA VS GUINEA TICKETS
South Africa and Guinea have shared a closely contested rivalry, with both nations recording one victory each, alongside one draw in their notable meetings.
Guinea claimed the first victory, winning 2–0 at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations.
The two sides then played to a goalless 0–0 draw in a friendly in March 2022.
However, South Africa finally got one over the National Elephants in their most recent meeting.
Bafana Bafana secured a 2–1 victory at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in August 2025.
