Ronald Acuña Jr. reached another incredible milestone Sunday, and he did it in classic Acuña fashion.
The Atlanta Braves superstar recorded his 1,000th career hit with a game-tying three-run home run against the Philadelphia Phillies, helping Atlanta erase a three-run deficit and eventually win 5-4.

A Milestone Moment
Acuña stepped to the plate in the eighth inning with Atlanta trailing 4-1.
After Mike Yastrzemski singled and Drake Baldwin doubled, Acuña faced Phillies reliever Alex McFarlane. The young pitcher had been nearly untouchable since joining Philadelphia, but Acuña changed that immediately.
McFarlane threw Acuña a 100.5-mph fastball, and Acuña crushed it deep into the right-field seats.
The three-run blast tied the game at 4-4 and gave Acuña his 1,000th career hit at the same time.
It was his 16th home run of the season and his fourth RBI of the game.
Joining Braves Royalty
The milestone puts Acuña alongside one of the greatest players in franchise history.
According to the Associated Press, Acuña became only the second Braves player to reach 1,000 hits, 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases, joining Hall of Famer Hank Aaron.

Then, in the ninth inning, Austin Riley delivered an RBI triple to score Ozzie Albies and give Atlanta a 5-4 lead. Raisel Iglesias closed out the victory for his 31st save.
The win moved Atlanta to 85-58 and gave the Braves a five-game lead over Philadelphia in the NL East.
