One popular college football social media account believes Michigan State will come out of its season-opener with a victory. But it won't be easy...

College Football Zone -- a social media account with more than 50,000 followers -- has released their prediction for the Spartans-Rockets season-opening matchup later this week. They have Michigan State winning this game by the skin of their teeth, topping the Rockets by the final score of 28-24.

For some perspective, Michigan State is now favored by only 9.5 points in this Big Ten vs. MAC matchup and I've personally seen a lot of chatter about the Rockets being live for the upset. I personally believe the game will be closer to a two touchdown difference, but I can't argue with College Football Zone's prediction too much given the fact that it's becoming a common pick as we approach kickoff.

Michigan State vs. Toledo will take place on Friday night at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Mich. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FS1.
