Leeds United return to Elland Road for the first home game of the 2026/27 Premier League season when Brentford visit West Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon (2pm).
Daniel Farke’s side made the perfect start to the new league campaign, recording a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

1. Impressive home record
Leeds are unbeaten in their last eight home league matches against Brentford, winning three and drawing five since a 1-0 defeat in February 2015.
Each of the last three meetings at Elland Road has finished level, with the two most recent encounters ending goalless.
2. Closely contested encounters
Four of the six Premier League meetings between Leeds and Brentford have ended in draws, with both sides recording one victory apiece.
The Whites’ success came in dramatic circumstances in May 2022, when Jack Harrison’s stoppage-time goal secured a memorable 2-1 win in west London.
3. Chance to make it two from two
Leeds began the campaign with a 1-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest and can now record consecutive league wins at the start of a season for the first time since 2018/19.

Anton Stach has scored four direct free-kick goals for Leeds in the Premier League, leaving him level with Gary McAllister and behind only Ian Harte, who netted 10.
Since Opta’s records began in 2003/04, the Germany international has the best direct free-kick conversion rate of any player to attempt more than five, scoring with four of his 10 efforts.
7. Wilson enjoys facing the Bees
Harry Wilson has scored four Premier League goals against Brentford, with those strikes coming across his last four appearances against the Bees.
That is his joint-highest total against a single opponent in the competition, alongside the four goals he has scored against Tottenham Hotspur.
8. Another clean sheet in sight
Leeds were one of nine Premier League teams to begin the season with a victory, with James Trafford helping the Whites keep a clean sheet on his competitive debut at the City Ground.
The goalkeeper made three saves as Farke’s side secured all three points without conceding.

Brentford are aiming to win their opening two league matches of a season for the first time since their 2006/07 League One campaign.
The Bees have not achieved the feat in the top flight since the 1935/36 season.
