Man stabbed near Toronto waterfront; suspect sought for attempted murder in Burlington

A man was stabbed in the city’s waterfront neighbourhood Saturday night, Toronto Police said.

Cops were called to the Queens Quay W. and Dan Leckie Way area at 7:24 p.m., where officers found the injured man, with the suspect fleeing before police arrived at the scene.
Police said the victim’s injuries were serious, but non-life-threatening.
Cops described the suspect as a brown male, about 5-foot-4, and of skinny build. He was seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them at 416-808-1400.
Man sought for attempted murder, break-and-enter in Burlington: Police
Halton Regional Police said it is seeking the public’s help with locating a suspect wanted in a shooting in Burlington on Thursday.
Police said a male victim was treated for a gunshot wound on Aug. 27, with investigators identifying the suspect during their investigation.
Police said Trevor Roland Russell Charleton is wanted for attempted murder and break-and-enter.
Cops said his location is currently unknown.
Police urged anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Halton Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit at 905-878-5511, ext. 8900.
Police also urged the public that if they see Charleton, to avoid approaching him and to call 911 as police consider him to be armed and dangerous.
Two men stabbed in Mississauga following a fight: Police
Peel Regional Police said two men were stabbed and a suspect was arrested in Mississauga late Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of an “altercation with possible stabbing” in the Dundas St. W. and Parkerhill Rd. area at 5:05 p.m., police said in a post on X .
An hour later, it confirmed that a fight led to the stabbing, stating that two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries, with the suspect taken into police custody.
Police said it was searching for a possible second suspect, telling the public to avoid the area in an update posted on X Saturday night.
Police probing North York crash
Toronto Police said it’s investigating a crash involving two vehicles that left a woman injured in North York late Saturday afternoon.
Police said a white minivan driven by a 50-year-old man heading northbound on Jane St. near Finch Ave. W. crashed into a grey sedan driven by a 61-year-old woman travelling southbound on Jane.
Police said the woman sustained life-threatening injuries, and that all occupants remained at the scene.
