Franculino is the intriguing one. “58 goals in 115 games” is a serious return, and if he is genuinely available for around £21.4m, that sounds like the sort of deal Everton should be all over. Supporters will naturally wonder whether he can adapt quickly to the Premier League, but the profile is promising, young, productive and with room to grow. If Beto leaves, replacing him with a forward who feels upwardly mobile would be a big statement.
The right-back situation is probably the most urgent. If Guela Doue is waiting for a Champions League move, Everton should avoid being dragged along for too long. Daniel Munoz feels more ready-made and proven, even if £25million is not a small fee.
