Kirk Herbstreit finds ESPN guilty of limited college football coverage
· Yahoo Sports
Kirk Herbstreit has been the face of college football coverage at ESPN for decades, but he doesn't believe his employer is covering the sport enough as a whole.
Herbstreit appeared on a recent episode of the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast to admonish ESPN for their lack of attention to this matter.

"I think our own place (ESPN) has been very, very guilty of those morning shows. It's NFL or LeBron James or the Yankees or the Dodgers. They're playing the hits," Herbstreit said.
Herbstreit continued to wonder about the pecking order of priorities out loud.
"They're not breaking down what's going on in Nebraska, unless there's turmoil, unless there's some kind of controversy. Then they're going to want to get into it … but otherwise, they're not talking college football. And I'm like, wait a second, why are you always talking NBA and MLB and WNBA, but where's college football on your rundown? It's the second-biggest sport," Herbstreit contended.
Ironically, "Bussin' With The Boys" hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton are set to have a new weekly show next month, but Herbstreit would like to see the network lock into more specific college football narratives more often.
"I wish you guys would do it Monday through Friday, and maybe this Friday show will lead to a Monday through Friday," he said. "Because I think we need more college football on ESPN."
