Nick Sirianni Has Opposite Comments as Saquon Barkley About Eagles-Patriots Practice

After Philadelphia Eagles superstar Saquon Barkley said he didn't love joint practices, it was only fair to wonder how others in the organization felt.
The Eagles have been built to win games at a very high level over the past few years, and much of that is because of their work ethic. Philadelphia has really good players on both sides of the football who are typically drama-free and just want to get better.

Barkley is at the top of that list, as he's undoubtedly one of the best players in the NFL and a guy who just shows up every day ready to do what's needed.
While his comments were interesting and somewhat surprising, it doesn't sound like others in the organization feel the same way. Recently, speaking to reporters about the joint practice with the New England Patriots, head coach Nick Sirianni had a lot of positives to take from it.
He said two days of joint practices were great for his team because of what they accomplished, adding that while there were some good moments, there were also bad ones, and he thinks that's what his team needs to keep improving.
"There was good. There was bad. It was a back-and-forth practice... It was good to go against a quality opponent who's well-coached. The hospitality here was great. We were able to get a lot of good work in,” Sirianni said, per USA Today.
"Sometimes, when you have two days of work, you can hit every situation, right? When you only have one day... we were able to get two really good days where we're hitting red zone, and we're hitting two-minute both days, and we're hitting first and second down and getting back on track stuff and third down."
Going up against an organization like the Patriots is always a good thing. The Eagles, in a similar way, have done a lot of things that are comparable to New England. Both teams are Super Bowl contenders, have won in the past, have a good head coach, and talented players.
It's just preseason and practice, but these are the things that help teams win games at a very high level come the regular season and playoffs.
