San Francisco 49ers Owner Roasted After His Arrest for Allegedly Agreeing to Pay $140 for Sex at Ohio Trailer Park

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was mercilessly mocked online Monday after pleading no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from his arrest in Ohio on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.
York was arrested Sunday at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in East Palestine after authorities said he responded to an undercover advertisement and agreed to pay $140 for sex. According to court records obtained by ESPN, York arrived at the arranged meeting place with the cellphone allegedly used to set up the encounter and was taken into custody.

Authorities initially charged York with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. As part of a plea deal Monday, the prostitution charge was reduced to disorderly conduct, and York pleaded no contest to that charge and the criminal tools count. He paid $1,150 in fines and was sentenced to one day in jail on each charge, with one day credited as already served.
According to subsequent reporting from the San Francisco Chronicle, York filed for divorce from his wife of more than fifteen years, Danielle Belluomini, in May, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The matter has not yet been resolved in court.
The 49ers said in a statement that “as this is a legal matter, which has been resolved, we will not be providing any further comment at this time.” The NFL, meanwhile, said it was “aware of the matter, which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy.”
Sports media figures online, however, did not hold back as the league and the team seemingly did. Independent journalist Tony Farmer wrote Monday, “No disrespect to mobile home residents, but I’ve never heard of a billionaire hanging out at one, never mind getting arrested at one,” while Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy added, “Disgusting behavior. Days like these make me proud to be a Patriot.”
