Five-Year Maintenance Contract
The performance-based maintenance contract covers an 87.18-km section of National Highway 502A, from kilometre 0 to kilometre 87.180.
The agreement will remain valid for 60 months, or five years. Its scope includes the operation and maintenance of the entire highway corridor, along with maintenance work during the monsoon season.
The contract will be carried out under the company’s Multi Modal Project Division. Brahmaputra Infrastructure said the formal agreement has now been signed.
Strategic Road Near Myanmar Border
NH-502A passes through southern Mizoram and connects the Myanmar border with Lawngtlai. The company described it as one of the most remote and strategically important highway stretches in India’s Northeast.
Executing the project will require Brahmaputra Infrastructure to establish local facilities, including plants, machinery, workforce camps and logistics support, in difficult terrain.
The company believes this presence could offer a long-term competitive advantage and improve its prospects for securing more infrastructure projects in the India-Myanmar border region.
