Ravens center Danny Pinter carted off during joint practice with Vikings
· Yahoo Sports
The Ravens’ unsettled center competition took a concerning turn Wednesday when Danny Pinter was carted off during the team’s joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings at TCO Performance Center. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Pinter left the field during the session. Baltimore had not announced the nature or severity of the injury at the time of the report, making it important to avoid conclusions before further testing or an update from coach Jesse Minter.
Pinter entered the week in Baltimore’s center competition. He, Ethan Pocic and Jovaughn Gwyn were listed with “or” designations on the Ravens’ unofficial depth chart as the team searches for Tyler Linderbaum’s replacement.

Baltimore signed Pinter to a one-year deal this offseason after he spent six seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. His experience at center and guard gave the Ravens flexibility as they rebuilt the interior of an offensive line that includes John Simpson and first-round guard Vega Ioane.

If Pinter is forced to miss time, Pocic would have an opportunity to take control of the starting job. The veteran owns 97 career starts and brings extensive AFC North experience from four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Gwyn would also be positioned for practice and preseason snaps, while Corey Bullock offers another depth option.
The immediate concern, however, is Pinter’s health. Joint practices provide valuable evaluation against unfamiliar opponents, but Baltimore’s center competition could now be reshaped by an injury. More clarity should come after Pinter is examined and the Ravens provide an official update.
