The venue of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has been evacuated due to a reported fire.

According to reports, the fire alarm went off at the venue on Monday, 17 August 2026.
Alarm activation
While the cause of this activation is currently unknown, Tshwane Emergency Services are on site.
This incident happened moments before the appearance of corruption‑accused tenderpreneur Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
