Cowboys CB says facing Rams WRs in practice was ‘easy’

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Shavon Revel is not a household name, but after his comments about Puka Nacua and other L.A. Rams receivers this week, that could change overnight. Revel said that facing the Rams in a joint practice on Tuesday “felt easy”, an opinion not many would have expected from a cornerback who has played in seven career games and going against an offense with Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, and Nacua.

In a story posted at Dallas Morning News on Friday, Revel says that’s exactly how it felt to him.
“That felt easy because I’ve been doing it every day against — in my opinion, personally — the best receivers in the league [Lamb and Pickens] and I felt that throughout this camp.”
Revel says that after going against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens in Cowboys practices everyday, the likes of Nacua and Adams is not up to his usual standards. Lamb and Pickens are one of the better duos in the NFL right now, but should that make Nacua “easy” to guard?

That’s because he is as confident as ever after going up against George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb every day.

For what it’s worth, reports out of Oxnard on Tuesday did highlight Revel as one of the best players on the field, including a pass breakup on a fade pass from Stafford to Nacua in the red zone. Another report had Revel breaking up a pass from Stafford to Nacua on a go ball.

Revel, a third-round pick out of East Carolina in 2025, fell in the draft due to injury concerns. Some had him as a first-rounder prior to those concerns. He ended up returning in Week 11 and starting the final five games of the year.
He’s now competing with former Rams cornerback Cobie Durant to start opposite of DaRon Bland, a position battle he may be winning after Tuesday. But beating out Durant to start?
Now that sounds easy.
