Turki Alalshikh wants to see UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev in the ring.

Makhachev attended Zuffa Boxing 09 last week at Infosys Theater in Madison Square Garden, where he met with Alalshikh. Makhachev was in New York to corner his teammate, Usman Nurmagomedov, who retained his PFL lightweight title with a first-round knockout of Archie Colgan in last Friday's main event at UBS Arena in Elmont.
"We had good talks about a boxing match in Zuffa Boxing with Turki Alalshikh," Makhachev told MMA Junkie. "I don't know if it's a secret or not, but he said, 'When you will be ready for boxing, just let me know, and we will do something.' Why not? Box with some other fighters. Why not? Turki has asked me a couple of times, 'Are you ready for boxing?' I just tell him, 'Sit with Dana, just ask him, I'm ready. Anytime.'"
Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) makes his first welterweight title defense against Ian Machado Garry (17-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) in the UFC 330 headliner on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia (Paramount+).
