Steve Erceg releases statement after KO loss at UFC Abu Dhabi

Steve Erceg's return to the octagon didn't end well.
The former UFC flyweight title challenger was viciously knocked out by Ramazan Temirov in the co-main event of Saturday's UFC Fight Night 282 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Erceg (14-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) ate a big right hand from Temirov (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who then followed up with a few extra shots to put out the Australian.

Erceg took to Instagram on Sunday morning to send a message to his fan base, and all of his supporters.
"Hey guys, just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm OK," Erceg said. "I had a great camp, felt fantastic, but unfortunately things don't always go your way. First of all, thank you to the UFC for all the opportunities you afford me. Thank you to Abu Dhabi for the hospitality, and congratulations to Ramazan on a great fight.Lastly, I'd like to say to all my family and friends that you'll continue to support me in the world, and yeah, I'll be back."
