The 2027 Clash will be held at Daytona on Feb. 13, The Athletic reported on July 24, returning to its once-longtime position and venue on the schedule. The Clash will take place eight days before the 2027 Daytona 500.

NASCAR held the Clash at Daytona International Speedway from 1979-2010 as an unofficial start to the Cup Series season and to Speedweeks.

The Clash has shifted around a few venues after a one-year move to the Daytona road course in 2021, including the Los Angeles Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium. The date of the Clash was adjusted accordingly, to two weeks before the Daytona 500.

The 2026 Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem was postponed by a few days for a winter storm.

Veteran NASCAR fans may remember the old flow of the Speedweeks schedule, with the Clash the weekend before the Daytona 500.

The 2027 Daytona 500 is scheduled for Feb. 21, 2027, according to the track's website. NASCAR has not yet released the full 2027 Cup Series schedule.
