The 28-year-old Congolese has been linked with a move to North Africa.

He had an outstanding season with Chiefs last campaign, ending with seven goals and three assists across all competitions.

According to Soccer Laduma, AS FAR in Morocco are looking to offer Kaizer Chiefs R16 million for Lilepo.

“The interest from AS FAR is very serious. They are prepared to pay in excess of US$1 million (around R16 million) to Kaizer Chiefs for Lilepo. This is one of the biggest clubs in Morocco and they have the financial muscle to make deals like this happen. The discussions with Chiefs are already underway,” a source told the publication.

Lilepo could leave Kaizer Chiefs after 18 months

Lilepo posted a cryptic message a few months back on social media, which read ‘goodbye’. Some fans were under the impression that the winger was leaving Naturena.

“There has also been interest from clubs in Libya and Egypt, but at this stage Morocco appears to be the most likely destination if he leaves Chiefs. AS FAR have shown the most intent and their offer is difficult to ignore,” the source added.

Kaizer Chiefs have already sold Aden McCarthy last month and losing Lilepo will be a huge blow for Fernando Da Cruz’s side.

Aside from Lilepo, Amakhosi could also part ways with Ashley Du Preez. The 29-year-old striker has been linked with a return to Stellenbosch in the past few weeks.
