Volleyball team from Hawaii wins division at AAU event

Pilipa‘a 16s of Hawaii beat MOD B16 Black of Illinois 25-20, 25-17 on Monday to complete a 10-1 championship run through the 16 Elite division at the 53rd AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, Fla.
The Hawaii squad’s only loss of the three-day tournament at the Orange County Convention Center came on Sunday, when it fell 2-1 to Husky 16.1 of Connecticut.
