What Does Bronny James’ Lakers Future Have In Store?

The free agency of LeBron James has become the new sweepstakes of the offseason after he informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he wouldn't be returning to the team and planned to find a new team.
Since then, there haas been no shortage of proposed suitors to sign James, but one of the most talked about teams has been the Cleveland Cavaliers.

There are a handful of obvious reasons as to why the Cavaliers would be a natural fit for James to finish out his career. After all, he's already been with his hometown team twice in his career, first when he was drafted by them and he brought them back to prominence and again when he returned to Cleveland and delivered the team it's first ever NBA championship.

For both storyline purposes and actual fit on a roster, coming back to Cleveland seems like an ideal match for James, and according to one speculative report, the Cavaliers may be considering an even more drastic measure to make things for more accommodating for James.
“One conspiracy whisper making the rounds: [The Cavaliers] want to make sure that they have open roster spots to be able to trade for the Lakers' Bronny James in the event that they are able to welcome Dad back as a free agent signee," (via The Stein Line).

The Lakers' drafting of James has become an infamous move in recent NBA history that many have pointed to the level of James' influence over Los Angeles. Regardless of the circumstances that to Bronny James' drafting though, his presence on the Lakers did lead to several special moments between father and son sharing the same NBA court.
James has also steadily developed as a young player in his two seasons that he's spilt between the NBA and G-League and should only continue to rise.

He did just recently sign a four-year deal with the Lakers worth just shy of $8 million, so Cleveland's alleged efforts to bring James to their roster in an attempt to entice his father would mean that they'd have to make a trade to bring Bronny over.

As with most situations involving LeBron James, things are going to interesting this offseason and this new wrinkle regarding Cleveland only makes things that much more interesting.
