NFR Extends Santragachi–Naharlagun Special To Clear Extra Passenger Rush

To clear the extra rush of passengers, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the services of one special train with the existing days of run, timings, stoppages and coach composition. Train No. 08047/08048 (Santragachi–Naharlagun–Santragachi) Special has been extended for another 05 trips in each direction from 03rd July to 01st August, 2026. The extension of this special train will provide enhanced connectivity and additional travel convenience for passengers travelling between West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh during the peak travel period.

Accordingly, Special Train No. 08047 (Santragachi – Naharlagun) will depart from Santragachi every Friday at 18:00 hours from 03rd July to 31st July, 2026 and will reach Naharlagun at 20:50 hours on the following day. In the return direction, Special Train No. 08048 (Naharlagun – Santragachi) will depart from Naharlagun every Saturday at 23:55 hours from 04th July to 01st August, 2026 and will arrive at Santragachi at 04:15 hours on Monday.
The extension of these train services will benefit wait listed passengers of other trains running in these directions. The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N. F. Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
