That’s why Chad Reuter of NFL.com put together a seven-round mock of active NFL players, predicting where they would go if teams were to select based on who would help them win now.
The draft order is the same as the 2026 NFL Draft for round one. And then it is reversed each round after that (similar to fantasy drafts).
For example, the first overall pick is Josh Allen to the Las Vegas Raiders. The second pick is Patrick Mahomes to the New York Jets.
Joe Burrow was Reuter’s fourth overall pick (going to the Tennessee Titans), just behind Matthew Stafford, who went to the Arizona Cardinals.
Ja’Marr Chase was the only other Bengal to get picked in the first round, taken by the Denver Broncos with the 30th overall pick.
Dexter Lawrence went to the Washington Commanders in the second round (pick #58). And Tee Higgins went to the Tennessee Titans in round three (pick #66), reuniting him with Burrow in this totally frivolous exercise.
You can see the entire seven-round draft here.
The Bengals clearly have some top-notch talent, but they still need help at linebacker. We discussed what they can do with their remaining cap space in the video below.
