New pictures discovered by Peel Regional Police show a fugitive wanted for allegedly killing his parents looking happy and relaxed three days after the heinous crime.

With a smile on his face, he is seen to be wearing a black designer T-shirt with a red and white insignia. Wearing shorts, a small cut is noticeable on the inside of his left knee.

These images answer some questions and raise some new ones.

The biggest question is, just where is Jordan Sangwin? Saturday, if he is not arrested before, will make Day 10 that he’s been on the loose after allegedly murdering his parents.

Police are hunting this fugitive and are encouraging the public to not only be on the lookout for the 46-year-old but be wary of him as well. His parents — Carol Sangwin, 70, and Garwood (Gary) Sangwin, 71 — were found with blunt force trauma at their Briarwood Ave. home in Mississauga on Thursday, June 18 and later died in hospital.

They were much loved people who their other children and grandchildren describe as warm and humorous.

The horrors they must have gone through. It shook up the neighbourhood. Their son Jordan Sangwin is wanted for two counts of first-degree-murder. He has been elusive since being spotted walking away from the scene in the east end of Port Credit.

“White, medium build with short salt and pepper hair and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, dark shorts and carrying a black duffle bag,” said police. “He is known to frequent the Lakeshore Road area of Mississauga.”

For several days there had been no sightings and there was a feeling he could be dead, but that changed Monday, June 22 when he was caught on security cameras near Ormskirk Park, which is west of High Park and Grenadier Pond.

Police now have released a picture captured from June 21 at an undisclosed due to investigative reasons location in Etobicoke. The pictures are clearer than previous ones released. They show Sangwin to not be appearing in distresses or nervous about pending justice and potential detention.

Peel Homicide Insp. Mike Mavity said there have been, and continue to be, extensive searches in the vicinity of Morningside Avenue and South Kingsway, as well as inside High Park itself.

It is believed he’s been hiding out and surviving in this area by living outside and getting food and water from the land or garbage cans. He has not been noticed on public transit but there have been reports of sightings.

So far, he has been able to evade capture.

Peel and Toronto Police have both warned the public to not engage with this suspect in two murders.

“Do not approach,” say police. “Call 911 immediately if seen.”

If you are walking in the area or live nearby, it might be a good idea to take all precautions. There have been no reports of violence since the double murder, but this suspect has shown a desire to not be caught, so the public and police have to be very careful.

Jordan Sangwin is said to have no criminal past, but there have been interactions with police at his parents’ home. He is also said to be in between jobs and comfortable around the shores of Lake Ontario.

It is believed he walked to Toronto from Mississauga.

About five days since his last sighting, police are working very hard to bring him in to custody to face justice for these slayings.
