Brandon Roy returns to coaching

Garfield High School will formally welcome alumnus and former NBA All-Star Brandon Roy as its new head boys basketball coach during a press conference on Thursday. Roy, a Garfield graduate whose basketball career began at the Seattle school, returns to lead the Bulldogs after remaining involved with the program for years as a coach, mentor, and supporter of student-athletes, according to Seattle Public Schools.
