How does former UNC basketball star fit in with new NBA team?
· Yahoo Sports
30 basketball stars heard their names called in the NBA Draft's first round on Tuesday night, including former UNC star Caleb Wilson.
The Chicago Bulls took Wilson with their fourth overall pick, adding him to a young, exciting core hoping to break a 4-year playoff drought. Chicago used to be a powerhouse under NBA GOAT and fellow Tar Heel Michael Jordan, winning six NBA Finals, but sports just one postseason series victory since 2015.

Wilson is a high-flying, enthusiastic kid who'll thrive in the NBA. The greater question is: how does Wilson specifically fit on the Bulls' roster?
Wilson should be a Day One starter who gels immediately with his teammates. ESPN lists Chicago's current starters as Josh Giddey (PG), Tre Jones (SG), Matas Buzelis (SF), Wilson (PF) and Nic Claxton (C).
Giddey is an athletic point guard who can create instant pick-and-roll success with Wilson, while Jones and Buzelis are both coming off their best NBA seasons and provide good, complementary scoring options. After seven seasons as a Brooklyn Net, Claxton will join a young Bulls roster on which everyone is 30 years old or less, setting the stage for a long, successful road ahead.
Wilson made an immediate impact during his lone season in Chapel Hill, turning North Carolina from a squad with unanswered questions into a National Championship contender. Those hopes disappeared when Wilson broke his hand ahead of the Duke rematch, but not before Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
With his success at the collegiate level, Wilson should be able to contribute immediately in the pros. Sure, Wilson will experience his "Welcome to the NBA moment," but he'll soon be the one delivering those.
Can Wilson be the next UNC basketball legend in the Windy City?
