England's medical team will assess the conditions of Declan Rice and Djed Spence following injury concerns sustained during the game with Ghana.

Rice departed the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts with substantial strapping around his left calf after a heavy tackle near the corner flag in the second period. Despite going down multiple times in the dying moments of the draw, he managed to complete the full 90 minutes.

Anthony Gordon misjudged the flight of the ball, but Spence cleared the threat, twisting his ankle in the surface.

The versatile defender was seen limping noticeably after the final whistle, having been withdrawn on 66 minutes.

Both players will undergo evaluation at England's Kansas City training facility before Saturday's last Group L game against Panama.

Tuesday's 0-0 tie represented a deflating follow-up to England's resounding 4-2 victory over Croatia in their World Cup curtain-raiser. However, Rice, in conversation with BBC Sport, maintains there's no cause for alarm considering England can still secure top spot in the group with a favorable outcome against Panama.

"It is always difficult when you play against 11 behind the ball as deep as they were, but you have to find solutions. In the last 10 minutes we were unlucky not to score," the Arsenal midfielder said.

"We still have a great chance to top the group against Panama so positivity all round. They were very compact, 5-4-1 off the ball and tight spaces to play through, but on the other hand we can do more with the ball.

"You have to give credit to Ghana. It's tough, and they are good players, so it was never going to be an easy game. We have one more group game to top the group, so we have to be positive.

"Loads of top nations draw the first game so there is no need to be negative or downbeat. We will stay positive."
