The Portland Trail Blazers were reported in late May as one of three teams with "legitimate trade interest in" Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown, should Boston make him available in a deal.

With rumors continuing to swirl surrounding the Celtics' former NBA Finals MVP, insider Sam Amick of The Athletic reported Friday that the Trail Blazers are still interested in Brown.

Portland has been one of the many teams linked to Milwaukee Bucks two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo as well.

"Speaking of Plan Bs, league sources say the Portland Trail Blazers would have serious interest in Brown if the Celtics made him available. The Blazers have been among the suitors for Antetokounmpo since the February trade deadline but appear to be on the outside looking in at the moment," Amick wrote.

Brown had the best season of his career during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging high marks in points (28.7) and assists per game (5.1), while matching his best output in rebounds per contest (6.9) too.

The 29-year-old made his fourth consecutive All-Star team and fifth of his career, was named Second Team All-NBA for the second time and finished sixth in the NBA MVP voting.
