Dodgers' No. 1 Prospect Could Be Key To Summer Blockbuster Trade
· Yahoo Sports
The Los Angeles Dodgers already are among the best overall teams in baseball right now, despite the fact that they aren't even close to full strength.
Los Angeles has plenty of firepower on the Injured List right now, like Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Edwin Díaz, and Teoscar Hernández, among others. Still, the Dodgers are 42-24 on the season, which is the second-best record in the National League. Only the Atlanta Braves are ahead of the Dodgers.

Over the next few months, the Dodgers are only going to get better as these guys start to make their way back from the Injured List. Also, the 2026 Major League Baseball trade deadline will be here on Aug. 3 and the Los Angeles has shown over and over that it's not afraid to take a big swing.
If the Dodgers are going to make a deal this season, who could be on the way out of town? MLB.com's Sonja Chen called No. 1 prospect Josue De Paula the club's top potential trade chip.
"Dodgers: OF Josue De Paula," Chen wrote. "The Dodgers' farm system is rich in outfielders, and De Paula is the cream of the crop. It would be surprising if L.A. dealt its top prospect (No. 8 overall) at the Deadline, but this is more about what he represents. Fellow outfielders Zyhir Hope, Eduardo Quintero and Mike Sirota, to name a few, could each realistically headline a package if the Dodgers feel that they need to make a significant Deadline addition to bolster their three-peat bid."
If the Dodgers make De Paula available, there's a very good chance the club could bring another back to town. There's been a lot of buzz out there about how Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal could make a lot of sense for the Tigers. Well, if the Dodgers make De Paula available, a package wouldn't be unrealistic.
