Cops seek to ID suspects after victim stabbed, another assaulted at Woodbine Beach

Toronto Police is seeking the identity of a group of individuals after one person was stabbed and another victim assaulted at Woodbine Beach on Friday night.

Police said officers responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. to a stabbing call in the Woodbine Beach area near Lake Shore Blvd. and Woodbine Ave. in the city’s east end.
It was reported to police that two victims were approached by a group of several suspects at the beach.
A verbal and physical altercation ensued between the victims and suspects, cops said. During the altercation, one of the suspects allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed one of the victims.
Both victims were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators described the suspects as males in their late teens to early 20s.
