Real Madrid’s presidential candidate, Enrique Riquelme, has finally announced a name in his sporting project. It is Rodri Hernández, former Ballon d’Or winner, currently playing for Manchester City. Real Madrid have been admirers of Rodri in the past, but Riquelme has now publicly named him, speaking to COPE, as one of the big signings he will make if the Real Madrid socios elect him as president in the June 7th elections.

Riquelme also mentioned another big signing, who is not Spanish, on the same platform. However, he did not disclose the name just yet. That announcement will come soon, as per Enrique Riquelme. Rodri has won everything there is to win in club football under Pep Guardiola. With Pep leaving Manchester City this summer, Rodri may be interested in a different challenge, in the familiar environment of Madrid. The 29-year-old midfielder will also be a key player for the Spanish national team at the World Cup.
