Cleveland's dynamic brotherly duo garners even more early excitement
· Yahoo Sports
It's a Fano family reunion in Cleveland. The Cleveland Browns' headliner addition to their team was tackle Spencer Fano, who they selected with the ninth overall pick.
That wasn't the only Fano. Spencer's brother, Logan, was also available in this year's NFL Draft, and he ended up going undrafted. It was a dream come true for the Fano family because you bet the Cleveland Browns came calling. They came to an agreement, and lo and behold, both Fanos were Cleveland Browns.

Spencer's potential and hype speak for itself, but for Logan, his potential is a bit more covered. He has a great physical presence as he stands at 6'5", weighing in over 250 pounds. Over the last two seasons, he averaged over 40 tackles on the year, but notched just 14.5 tackles for loss and only 10 sacks.
In today's NFL, if you can't get to the quarterback, there will not be a locker available for you. That is the name of the game, and that is the one area that Logan Fano certainly struggles with.
The other major negative to Fano's game is that he has had two ACL tears in 2022 and 2023. If not for that, Fano would have been a surefire draft pick and likely a top-round draft pick. His size is perfect to rush the passer; he is comfortable with both his hands in the dirt and in a track stance, and he plays his tail off on every play.
A true coach's dream.
What Fano does do well is eat space, and when he gets his hands on a ball carrier, that player is going to the ground. He has so much development left to do, and the only question is whether or not Cleveland will give him the runway to develop here.
The outlook for the Browns' defensive line is, truthfully, not great. After the starting four players, the backup position drops fairly significantly. The positive here is for Fano, who can legitimately compete to make the roster. He won't be competing with Myles Garrett, if he is still a Cleveland Brown, to have his hand in the dirt on the first play of next year.
However, if he can become a special teams ace and a serviceable pass rusher, Cleveland is happy. If he can become more than that, Cleveland is doing jumping jacks to celebrate. There is no reason to believe that he won't seize the opportunity. Time will give us all the answers that we are looking for.
