The Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback room has long been a fascinating storyline to follow this offseason as we waited to see what Aaron Rodgers would do.
Well, now we know, and Mike McCarthy has Rodgers back for 2026, plus he has Drew Allar as the new face in the room to go with Will Howard and Mason Rudolph.
But for Allar, he got some work in as the Steelers began OTAs last week, former Steelers star Ben Roethlisberger, watching Allar go through drills with the Pittsburgh coaches, didn't exactly sit well with him.
"It does make me nervous," Roethlisberger said on the Channel Seven podcast via CBS Sports. "I'm watching some of this stuff they're doing with (him) at practice, like working on his drop. I'm not trying to knock this quarterback school that McCarthy does. I know Aaron's (Rodgers) talked about it in the past because he's gone through it in Green Bay and he's talked highly about it.
"But I just, to me, when I'm watching him do three-step drops, that makes me incredibly nervous. You ask why? You're refining things. There's a difference in refining things and like, teaching. When we did football camps, the first things you're teaching the youngest kids is how to do a three-step drop."

Can Allar improve and take roster spot?
Well, that's the hope, right?
With Howard and Rudolph as the other quarterbacks he's fighting against, you can make the case that it is a tall order for the rookie to make any sort of impact.
Now that doesn't mean he can't, it's just tough.
McCarthy has a long history of developing quarterbacks, and while "Big Ben" is skeptical of the teaching methods, time will tell if he's on the money with his take.
As the offseason rolls on, fans will be looking at those behind Rodgers to see who could potentially take over in 2027.
Could it be Allar? Your guess is as good as mine.
