Chelsea set £120m asking price for Enzo Fernández — report
· Yahoo Sports
We’re still in the early stages of the Enzo Fernández saga, and though the inevitable outcome might be that Enzo leaves by the end of the summer, right now we’re setting up our defenses in a strong position.

According to The BBC, Chelsea’s asking price for a transfer will be £120m, which is slightly more than what we paid Benfica three and a half years ago, and certainly more than the initial indications that we would be happy with simply breaking even on amortization. Of course, it’s not like £70-80m is chump change either, so the potential pool of new destinations will always be, naturally, very limited.
Real Madrid is said to be Enzo’s “preferred option”, but the rumor mill has been fairly quiet on that possibility in recent weeks. Similarly, any notion of PSG getting involved seems more lazy speculation than anything rooted in any sort of reality. So that might leave Manchester City, but they appear to be prioritizing Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson … at least for now: Enzo Maresca’s expected official appointment could help reverse that.
Fernández does obviously have a very long-term contract with Chelsea still, good through 2032, but he wants Champions League football and he wants inow, in his prime. The pressure will be on to find a resolution that benefits all involved.
🚨Chelsea will ask for £120m for Enzo Fernandez this summer. The Argentina midfielder is not actively for sale and remains part of the club’s plans.
