Hoping to avoid a sweep at the hands of American League West Rival Seattle Mariners, the A’s take the field today at Sutter Health Park for game three of the three game set. Despite dropping the first two games, the A’s remain half a game ahead of the Mariners and a game and a half ahead of the third place Rangers in the West.

Taking the mound today for the A’s is Jeffrey Springs. The 33-year-old lefty is 3-5 with a 4.11 ERA over his eleven starts in 2026. Over the course of his career, Springs is 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA in fourteen appearances against the Mariners. He’ll be going up against 29-year-old right-hander Logan Gilbert for the Mariners. Gilbert is 2-4 with a 4.04 ERA in eleven starts this season. He is 4-1 with an ERA of 3.00 and 86 strikeouts in fifteen appearances versus the Athletics in his career.
