Things have been pretty eventful for rookie NFL quarterback Fernando Mendoza over the past month.

Visit somethingsdifferent.biz for more information.

At the end of April, Mendoza heard his name called as the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, being selected by the Las Vegas Raiders. Since then, Mendoza has been jetting across the country, first getting acclimated to his new surroundings and participating in offseason workouts with the Raiders before heading to Los Angeles for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, where he recently donned his Las Vegas uniform for the first time.

His latest trip was to Berkeley, where he returned to Cal (where he began his college career before transferring to Indiana) and officially graduated from the prestigious university, receiving his undergraduate degree in business administration and management ahead of his first season in the NFL. Footage of Mendoza at his graduation ceremony is below.

Mendoza is clearly an impressive individual on the gridiron as well as off it, and completing his degree in three years at a university with a reputation like Cal's demonstrates that. You can also expect him to put his education to good use in the league, where intelligence is a highly valued trait in a quarterback.
