The Kansas City Chiefs' offense, with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, is always going to be good enough to win games.

But as we turn to 2026, there is a thought that Patrick's supporting cast isn't what it once was, and in fact, some think the Chiefs should have added a veteran receiver to the room this offseason.

As things stand, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Kenneth Walker, and Travis Kelce are the top weapons for Mahomes. Is that enough? Patrick does elevate those around him, so maybe it is.

For Fox Sports' Ralph Vacchiano, he has the Chiefs' supporting cast ranked as the 13th-best in football.

"Rashee Rice, if he stays healthy and out of trouble — he was sentenced to 30 days in jail Tuesday — can be a No. 1 receiver," Vacchiano wrote. "Xavier Worthy has uncommon speed, though he hasn’t had the expected production yet. RB Kenneth Walker III is a huge upgrade to what the Chiefs have had in recent years, though it remains to be seen how Reid uses him.

"And then there’s TE Travis Kelce, back for another season at age 36. Either Rice or Walker might make more sense as the focal point of Reid’s scheme this year."

Do Chiefs have enough firepower?

You can make that case. I do feel like the addition of Walker will help tremendously, as the Chiefs will finally have a running back that defenses have to plan for.

Last season, defenses would sit back in coverage because there was no threat from Isiah Pacheco or Kareem Hunt -- Walker is a threat on every play. So, he can help dictate the coverage, which might make it easier for the receivers to get open.

Of course, it all centers on how healthy Patrick is in 2026. Still on track for a Week 1 return, it is all good vibes in Kansas City right now.

But I'd imagine they'd be even better if the weaponry at Mahomes' disposal was a little better.
