The New York Yankees are one of those teams that typically just find a way to get anyone they want. Even over the past few years, the Yankees have done a really good job in free agency, the trade market, and other avenues.

They might not be at the same level as the Los Angeles Dodgers anymore, but the Yankees are still a marquee franchise and are typically willing to hand out just as much money as anybody in the world.
Interestingly enough, some believe Aaron Judge's recent comments about his Team USA teammate at the 2026 World Baseball Classic could be an indication of what's to come.
With the possibility of Jazz Chisholm Jr. leaving in free agency this offseason, Anthony Volpe not having much of a future in New York, and other factors, it would make a lot of sense for the Yankees to go after somebody like Brice Turang of the Milwaukee Brewers.
The question is whether that's a realistic possibility, though there seems to be a feeling that it is.
“For all this talk about Anthony Volpe and his .570 OPS at Triple-A moving to second base after Jazz Chisholm Jr. walks and George Lombard Jr. takes over the middle infield, it's probably worth aiming a little bit higher.
“The Brewers have shown plenty of willingness in recent years to take care of young players early to eliminate their free agency costs. Turang has not been among the chosen ones. That could be an indicator that they know his value has already climbed/will climb too high to eliminate any chance at compromise,” Adam Weinrib said of potentially adding Turang one day.
Weinrib makes a lot of good points here, as Turang would be an excellent addition in New York.
The problem is that the Brewers just have no reason to trade him, as he isn't even arbitration-eligible until 2027 and doesn't hit free agency until 2030. In the same breath, the Brewers have shown a willingness to move on from guys before free agency when they get expensive. If that's what happens, the Yankees should be all over him.
