The Tide were widely regarded as a top team in the nation throughout the entire regular season, and Alabama will enter the SEC Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the conference as a result.

Here are three bold predictions for Alabama softball in the SEC Tournament this week.

Marlie Giles stays red hot, records 4+ hits

Giles has been one of the hottest hitters in Alabama’s lineup to begin the month of May. The catcher ended the 2026 campaign batting for a .397 average, as Giles has played a critical role in the Tide’s overall success this season.

Giles could find herself contributing at the plate throughout the entirety of the SEC Tournament, as the star senior has been excellent throughout her final season in Tuscaloosa.

Jocelyn Briski plays a critical role out of bullpen

Briski has dominated in the circle on a nightly basis during her time at Alabama this year. Briski currently has a team-high three saves on the season, and the talented flamethrower could very well find herself in a save situation once again in Lexington.

The Alabama star ended the season with a team-best 1.46 ERA as well, as Briski will need to be at her best throughout the SEC Tournament.

Ana Roman delivers in clutch once again, records 3+ RBI

Roman has been an extremely reliable hitter during both April and the beginning of May. The star outfielder ended the season batting an impressive .333, as the freshman was able to solidify herself with an everyday role in the Tide’s lineup during her first season in Tuscaloosa.

Roman will need to keep things rolling during the SEC Tournament in Lexington, and the rising star could begin to heat up once again this Thursday.

Alabama will enter the SEC Tournament on a three-game winning streak, as the Tide will look to make a run following an electrifying regular season campaign in 2026.
