Horse racing fans have circled Saturday, May 2nd on their calendars, preparing for the Kentucky Derby.

Some may be watching from home, but for those attending in person, the prices for a seat at Churchill Downs get quite expensive. This is of course, without mentioning the cost of a mint julep or a hat for the occasion. 

These tickets might not provide the longest form of entertainment with such a short race, but they are nonetheless a hot commodity in the sports world

Kentucky Derby tickets 2026

For those looking to just get in with infield general admission, a StubHub ticket will set you back $163. Infield general admission via Ticketmaster will set you back just $137.35.

However, many of the wealthier attendees prefer a different vantage point. A spot in Millionaires Row could cost anywhere from $3,982 all the way up to $39,812 on StubHub.

For those, who'd like to be in a spot dubbed "Mansion," only one StubHub seat is available, now at $12,760. And finally, the famed Spires Terrace will cost at least $15,820 for the cheapest seat in the section. 

The most expensive ticket listed is currently valued at just over $359,000.

Kentucky Derby post positions and odds

Post positions were revealed for this year's derby on Saturday, April 25, with Renegade as the favorite.

Renegade is the favorite at 4-1 odds, with three other horses have odds better than 10-1. Commandment and Further Ado are the other two largest contenders for the crown, both at 6-1 odds.
