WEATHER: Warning issued as severe storms approach

Some intense conditions are expected across parts of the country on Tuesday, 21 April. Here’s what the South African Weather Service has lined up for KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and North West.
KWAZULU-NATAL
If you’re in KwaZulu-Natal, expect partly cloudy and warm conditions. It’ll be hotter in the north-east, with clouds building into the afternoon. Isolated showers and thundershowers are also on the cards for parts of the province.

DURBAN
Durban will be fine at first, becoming partly cloudy with isolated evening showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range between 21°C and 28°C.
FREE STATE
The western and central parts of the Free State have been issued a Yellow Level 2 warning, with severe thunderstorms that could cause localised damage to infrastructure and settlements.
BLOEMFONTEIN
Bloemfontein can expect partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 8°C to a maximum of 21°C.
NORTH WEST
The South African Weather Service has also issued a Yellow Level 2 warning here. Severe thunderstorms could lead to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges in the western and far eastern parts of the province.
MAHIKENG
Mahikeng will be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers. Expect temperatures between 14°C and 26°C.
